Cancer Families United is a grass roots non-profit established in 2012 to provide essential support and services to families of Southwest Michigan whose children are receiving treatment at Bronson Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinic. Our services range from gas cards to family events. More information about how to receive support can be provided by the social worker at the pediatric oncology clinic.
Once you know your child has cancer – we know how to help you through it…
SERVICES AND PROGRAMS
Cancer Families United also sponsors the beverage service in the lobby of the Pediatric Oncology Clinic, food pantry in the family lounge, provides free headphones to clinic patients that they can borrow during their scheduled visit and gives a new family care bag filled with personal items to every newly diagnosed child and their family.
Awareness campaigns will run through the month of September and occasionally throughout the year. The Advocacy Action Team travels to Washington D. C. in the spring to participate in National Cancer Action Day; lobbying on Capitol Hill for more funding for pediatric cancer research and targeted legislation protecting patients and survivors.
These are some of the families we support and provide a community of understanding, compassion and fellowship through our services.
