Families that have a child with cancer face many financial burdens. Their main focus is getting their child cancer free. To accomplish this, sometimes, they must travel to more than one oncology clinic. The Travel Assistance program will provide gas cards to families that meet the travel assistance requirements and ease the stress of how to pay for multiple long distance trips. No family should worry how they will get their child to treatment.
Travel assistance being offered at this time is in the form of a Speedway gas card. In your application, please describe where you travel and the amount of travel required for the child’s treatment. Gas cards will be distributed after the application has been reviewed and approved by the organization; please allow at least 48 hours for the review process before the card is needed. Applications are now available at the Bronson Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinic, the social worker can assist you in answering questions about the program.
